Halloween is nearly here & the build up is so much fun for our little ones. Here’s 5 of my favourite Halloween Activities for you to enjoy at home with your little ones:
Using apples cut in half, press them into a tray or plate of orange paint & print on to a sheet of paper. You can then use black cut out paper shapes to put the mouth & eyes on your pumpkins. Pumpkin Printing is loved by all ages!
I always have a pack of rich tea/digestive biscuits along with some icing sugar & food colouring in the cupboard for a quick activity, so for Halloween, lets make spooky biscuits!
Make green icing & decorate your biscuits with squeezy icing, marshmallows & sprinkles to make monsters!
Great fun to decorate & then eat. Once weaned, babies can explore the icing too & it’s all edible.
You Will Need:
- Wooden Spoon
- A collection of items from the house
Fill your bucket or tub with water and then go off on a hunt around the house for your ingredients, add them as you go and then give them a big stir. Once ready you can serve it up in bowls/plates.
A few ideas of ingredients are:
- Hand Soap
- Food Colouring
- Cotton balls or pom poms
Either in the bath or a large tub of water, fill with apples & use a large spoon or ladle to scoop & collect them up. For tiny ones, let them scoop them up with their hands. You could also try traditional apple bobbing by trying to pick them up with your teeth.
Which Halloween activity will you try first?
